The Original Big Island Editon features a Solid tonewood Mahogany sound board and traditional Hawaiian rope bindings using Maple and Indian Rosewood. This original style of binding was first used by Chris J. Knutsen and later H. Weissenborn, and gives the guitar a beautifully authentic look. Hand crafted in the Weissenborn style and respecting the rich heritage of the Hawaiian lap steel, the Big Island series have a beautiful volume, depth and clarity of tone.
