2021 Fender American Performer Stratocaster HSS MN Electric Guitar – Black w/Upgrades! (PLEK’D/Locking Tuners/Bone Nut)
$1,499.00
The Stratocaster has withstood the test of time. As a versatile instrument that’s been around since the early days, it’s certainly had its modifications. But the American performer Stratocaster HSS has gone from one small step for man, to one giant leap for mankind with the American Performer Series. Featuring gorgeous Fender craftsmanship, classic Strat appointments, and an evolutionary Fender DoubleTap humbucker, this guitar is for Strat players who want some innovative sound options in that classically reliable Fender package.
Gorgeous Fender Craftsmanship
Fender never misses the mark when it comes to building their famed guitars. The Stratocaster has always been solid, reliable and a real workhorse for musicians. The American Performer Series Strat has an alder body, cut into the definitive Strat shape, with a 25.5″ scale length. The neck is cut from maple into a modern “C” for smooth playability and the fingerboard sports 22 frets and dot inlays. The look and feel of this guitar exudes comfort that will keep you playing for hours.
Classic Strat Appointments
The American Performer Strat boasts a large vintage-style headstock with American Performer tuning machines. It has a synthetic bone nut and 6-saddle vintage style synchronized tremolo bridge, so you can use the tremolo arm to add character to your playing. With aged white control knobs and a 3-ply pickguard in classic Strat style, this guitar will feel like home for the players who’ve played a Strat before, as well as for those who are picking one up for the first time.
Evolutionary Fender DoubleTap Humbucker
When you plug in, you’ll realize what makes the American Performer Stratocaster HSS so special. Fender has given this guitar a special new design they call the DoubleTap humbucker. Some humbuckers can split coils, others have coil-tapping, but Fender’s new patent-pending technology combines both concepts. One of the two coils is wound extra hot, so when the push-pull knob is activated, it taps into the half of the pickup that is over-wound. This creates a bright, expressive single coil tone without the all-too-common volume drop or added noise. This adds a whole new sonic dimension to the Strat.
