Matt “Guitar” Murphy of Blues Brothers fame helped design the Cort MGM-1 model. Matt “Guitar” Murphy has been a legend in the Blues community since his early days with James Cotton right up to his pivotal role as a member of the Blues Brothers Band. Matt worked with Cort on this dual humbucker signature model – which has a hint of PRS in the body shape.

Best known for his role in the 1980’s “Blues Brothers” Film, Murphy has played with all the greats: Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Chuck Berry and many more. He is now one of the senior statesmen of the Chicago Blues.
